Sera Hill
In 2004, Sera Hill participated in a Y-Star talent search at the YMCA Buckhead - Atlanta, Georgia. Gary McClendon was one of the Judges and volunteer producers. Sera was 14 years old at the time her song choice , "At Last" (click here to see performance).
Sera Hill got Gary's attention when she hit all of the high notes and sung the song with such maturity.
Shortly after the audition, Sera Gary selected a song just for her, "Through Your Eyes". Gary booked Sera to sing "Through Your Eyes" at the 2004 Bonner Brothers Hair Show and he had Sera and another Y-star talent named, Jemia sing during an Atlanta Symphony concert in which Bruce Hornsby was the featured artist.
Over the years, Gary and Sera have kept in touch and in 2010 Sera recorded another song written by Gary called, "I Believe".
Sera Hill will sing "I Believe" at the Atlanta Gospel Choice Awards, September 24, 2012 and at the Birmingham Gospel Choice Awards, October 15, 2012.
